Who we are

Team 23168 is made up of innovative WLMS students, high school and adult mentors, and coaches. Together we are working to build our knowledge and expose future professionals to STEAM career fields.

Throughout the season students receive experience in multiple different areas, including:

  • Design using CAD and SketchUp

  • Manufacturing with 3d printing, laser cutting, saws and sanders, and our Glowforge

  • Assembly

  • Programming using Java and/or Python

  • Business Management through portfolio creations, fundraising, and budget management

  • Marketing through social media outreach, community involvement, and distribution of team swag

While the goal of the team is to compete for and win awards at tournaments, the driving purpose is to expand knowledge, encourage creativity, embolden teamwork, embrace problem solving, and eliminate our fears of failure.
